CLPS Appoints Former Mastercard SVP, Regina Cheung as Chairman of Qinson; and Wilson Chew as CEO of Qinson, Formerly CEO of Financial Leasing Companies
CLPS Incorporation (the “Company” or “CLPS”) (Nasdaq: CLPS), today announced the appointment of Regina Cheung as the Chairman of Qinson Limited (BVI) (“Qinson”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CLPS, the holding company of Qinson Credit Card Services Limited. Cheung’s leadership and unparalleled experience will be instrumental in leading Qinson’s financial and payment products and services in its foray to the global market. As appointed CEO of Qinson, Wilson Chew will be fully responsible for the research and development, marketing, delivery and business operation across China and overseas markets.
Cheung brings over 30 years of banking and finance experience to Qinson, overseeing strategy, delivery and management of industry-leading technology-enabled solutions and platforms. She held multiple senior and executive level roles for leading financial institutions in Asia Pacific and China, including as SVP of Mastercard’s China Operation and Technology, CIO of Commonwealth Bank of Australia China, Head of Global Consumer Technology of Citigroup, Head of Information Technology of Ping An Bank and as Deputy Head of Global Card Center of Bank of China.
Chew is a seasoned executive with domestic and international experience. Prior to joining Qinson, he served as CEO of three financial services companies, including Magnate Holdings and DY Financial Leasing Services Company Ltd. His extensive experience in fintech industry, small and medium enterprises and consumer financial products enabled him to design and establish the early online consumer financial leasing platform in China. His broad international perspective and macro strategic thinking will be valuable assets to achieve Qinson’s goal in pursuing the global market further. A Malaysian-Chinese, Chew began his career as a senior analyst for HSBC Credit Card Center in the U.S. before moving back to China. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
